BRENDA LEE JOHNSON

Brenda Lee Johnson was called to Glory at her residence on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at the age of 78.  She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident Barataria, LA. Brenda was employed as a correctional officer with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff Office. Devoted wife of the late Clarence Johnson, Sr. Beloved mother of Darlene (Kelvin) Jackson, Clarene Madison (Charles) Roussell, and Clarence (Darrlyn) Johnson, Jr. Adopted mother of Renae (Jose) Davis.  Daughter of the late Alfred and Estella Palmer. Sister of John Wayne Palmer, also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Greater St. John Baptist Church of Barataria, LA and all neighboring churches; employees of Heart of Hospice, and The Town of Jean Lafitte are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Greater St. John Baptist Church 2823A Privateer Blvd. Barataria, LA on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dr. Harold E. Clark, Sr. officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time. Interment: Bailey Cemetery- Barataria, LA.
