BETTY MURRAY

Betty Murray, age 72, entered into eternal rest at Piedmont Fayette Hospital on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. She was a native of New Orleans, LA, a former resident of Saginaw, MI, and presently residing in Fayetteville, GA. She was a faithful member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Saginaw, MI, where she sang in the choir and cooked for many church functions. Betty will be remembered for her loving, giving and helping spirit she showed to everyone she encountered. Loving mother of Antoinette (Vellvette) Bibbs and Patrick (Rannetta) Murray. Devoted grandmother of Shaina Murray (Alonzo) Small, Jaleesa Murray, Sparkle Murray, Zaviya Clark, Zamari Clake, Zy’Loni Murray, and the late Za’Nyla Murray. Great grandmother of Antonio Murray, Donnell Murray, Trevis Adams, Denzel Anthony, Treasure Murray, Lyrical Murray, Aaliyah Murray, and Ceige Murray. Daughter of the late Edward and Mary Hammond Murray. Beloved sister of George (Marlena) Murray, Edward Murray, Henry (Angela) Murray, Lionel Murray, Ethel Mae Lewis, Elouise Jones, and the late Jimmy Murray, and Theodora McAbee. Aunt of the late David Jones. Betty is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, her Michigan Family and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe Street, Gretna, LA on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Rev.
