BERNIE JOSEPH HAINS, SR.

Bernie Joseph Hains, Sr. entered peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, June 11, 2021 at the age of 76. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Bernie was a retired teacher and former case manager with Hope Haven Madonna Manor. Beloved husband of the late Geraldine Hains. Loving father of Bernie Hains, Jr. (Tatiana Lubin), Keisha Hains (Aziz Guerfouss), and Calantha Kemp. Bonus father of Cheryse Nicholas, Brandon Nicholas, (Ken DelPo), and Heather Nicholas (Theresa Litt). Devoted grandfather of Rachael (Cornell) Anderson, Rayshonda Stewart, Tyranee, and Jarred Kemp, Taylor and Tylor Coleman, Alyra and Amari Youyoute and Fariss Guerfouss. Son of the late Anthony and Mildred Joseph Hains. Brother of Wanda (John) Rippoll, Donald (Anne) Hains, Sr. and the late Anthony Hains, Jr. Bernie is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Private Memorial Service will be held at St. Vincent #2 Cemetery New Orleans, LA on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Ernest Weber, officiating.
