Bernice Walker Hines

Bernice Walker Hines, age 76, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 13, 2019 at West Jefferson Medical Center. She was a native of Canton, MS and a resident of Marrero, LA. Bernice was a graduate of Southern University of New Orleans. She retired after many years of employment with several radio stations in the New Orleans area including WRNO, WNOE, and Clear Channel Radio. Devoted mother of Demetrice Hines and Eric (Patricia) Hines. Stepmother of Kevin Hines, Brandon McDonald, Lynell Gaines, and Cheryl Ann Hines. Grandmother of Eric Sigears and Shameka Davis. Beloved daughter of the late Charlie and Christine Jackson. Loving sister of Catherine (Rickie) Riley, Calvin (Evangeline) Jackson, and the late Willie Bell Joseph and Earl Jackson, Sr. Aunt of Vanessa Walker, Sheryl Wells, Arionne Wells, Kia (Brian) Barnes, Malah Christine Jackson, Van Vontoure, JasMin Simmons, Darryl (Yolanda) Joseph, Earl Jackson, Jr., Kairon Riley, Sr., Jared (Tiana) Riley, Sr., Hezekiah Charlie Jackson, Josiah Charlie Jackson, Eric Johnson, Tyreh Parrish, Calvin and Joshua Johnson. Bernice is also survived by her special friends Denise and Kerry West, Barbara Williams, Linda Nellum, and a host of cousins, neighbors, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Monday, May 20, 2019 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
