Barbara Ann Prevost Taylor entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the age of 70. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Destrehan, LA. Barbara was a graduate of L. W. Higgins High School, and she attended California State University Northridge. Barbara was a parking attendant with New South Parking (New Orleans Airport). Loving mother of Joseph Pate (Lina Chabrier Pate) and Nelann Taylor (Michael Bateman). Beloved daughter of Hester Mae Cyprian Speed and the late Norris Prevost, Sr. Sister of Tyrone Prevost, Stanley Speed, Emmanuel Speed, Michael Speed, Vincenne Speed, Tegre Lemon, and the late Norris “Shorty” Prevost, Jr., and David Speed, also survived by 5 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend a Memorial Celebration at Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church 433 Avondale Garden Rd.
