ARTHUR B GREEN

Arthur B. Green was called home to be with his heavenly father on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at the age of 87. He was a native of Opelousas, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA.  Arthur was a retired employee with Southern Baptist Hospital for 52 years.  He was an avid New Orleans Saints Fan and made sure you knew that. Beloved husband of the late Rita Rose Green. Devoted father of Arthur (Thea) Green, Robert Green, Rita (Keith) Harper, Theresa Butler, Betty (Don) Green, Reginald (Holly) Green, Bessie (Dwain) Green, Carolyn Ann McGinnis, and the late Willis Butler, Joseph McGinnis, and Shirley Ann Bailey. Grandfather of the late David Lee Chase. Great grandfather of the late Michael Bailey. Son of the late Robert and Josephine Guidry Green. Brother of John “Burton” Green, August “Lee” Green, Robert “Lee” June Green, Jr., Mary Simmons, Virleen Anderson, Olivia Green, Stella Alexander, and the late Joseph Ivory Green. Brother-in-law of Theresa Agnes Bailey, and the late Joseph Bailey, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
