ARTHUR LAWRENCE BROWN, SR.

Arthur Lawrence Brown, Sr., a resident of Algiers, LA, transitioned into eternal rest on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the age 88. Arthur was a 1955 graduate of Dawson High School, and enlisted in the United Sates Army, where he faithfully served for 8 years. He was an avid New Orleans Saints fan, and a former member of the Old Timers Social and Pleasure Baseball Club for 15 years.  Beloved father of Diane Brown of St. Francisville, LA, Lynette Marie Carter, Anthony Sherwood (Jonelle) of Kennesaw, GA, Gerald Jerome (Marva) Brown, Gwendolyn Evans (Anthony, Sr.) Smallwood of Richmond, TX, and the late Annette Brown and Arthur Lawrence Brown, Jr. Proud grandfather of Robert Brown, Lionel Carter, Jr., Tara Johnson, Christian N, Brown, Anthony E. Smallwood, Jr., Emerald L. T. Smallwood, Diamond E. Smallwood, and Antoine Smallwood. Great grandfather of Terry and Robert Polk, Lionel Carter, III, Shaolin Baldwin, Saqqarah Osin, Joaquin Carter, Chistara Warner, Alton Holloway, Jr., Brianne Carter, Taraji Johnson, and Wardell Johnson. Son of the late Tom and Sarah Brown. Brother of the late Leroy Brown. Nephew of the late Sallie Smith. Brother-in-law of the late Victoria Cormick-Brown. Arthur is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
