ARLENE LEWIS ROGERS

Arlene Lewis Rogers, age 79, departed this life at West Jefferson Medical Center on Sunday, September 3, 2023. She was a native and resident of Westwego, LA. Beloved wife of the late Johnny Rogers. Devoted mother of Cornell (Daisy) Roger, Sr., Yolanda (James) Melancon, Andra (Carnell) Joseph, and LaShawner Rogers. Loving grandmother of Chelsey, Jarmall, LaReka, Malik, Nuri, DeShawn, Taja, Carnell Jr., Sallal, and Samaj, and the late Kadisha Joseph, Quilland Johnson, and Cornell Rogers, Jr. Daughter of the late Mitchell Lewis and Arleiva Pilpuers Alexander. Sister of the late Ernest “Joe” Alexander and her identical twin Charlene Harrell. Devoted aunt of Clifford Harrell, Jr. Arlene is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Paul Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St. Paul Baptist Church, 1509 Monroe Street Gretna, LA on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Orin D. Grant, Sr., officiating.
