ANITA LYNN HAMPTON

Anita Lynn Hampton, age 61, entered eternal rest on Saturday August 10, 2024, at St. Joseph Hospice, Harahan, LA. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Anite was educated in the Jefferson Parish Public School System. Devoted mother of Kelly Hampton (Yuri) and Shavona Hampton (Joseph), Tanisha “Tee” (Damien) Jones and the late Lisa Hampton. Grandmother of the late Devin Hampton. Beloved daughter of the late Mildred Hampton and Richard Curtis. Granddaughter of the late Sullivan and Lucinda Hampton. Loving sister of Kizzy, Richard and Bruce Hampton, Betty (Bruce) Washington, Jojeanna (Dwana) Rafter and the late Johnny, Ricky and Shannon Hampton. Stepsister of the late Tammy Alexander. Anita is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 12 great- grandchildren a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, La on Saturday August 24, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the above-named parlor.
