Andre “Fukee” Fuqua departed this life Passages Hospice on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the age of 60. He was a native of Chicago, IL and a resident of Jefferson, LA. Andre attended West Jefferson High School and was employed as a cook. Loving father of Paul (Vanessa) Washington, Andre, Jazmin and Jamar Francis, Khadijah and Domanique Fuqua. Beloved son of Donald Fuqua and the late Helen Griffin. Stepson of the late Saul Griffin. Grandson of the late Annie M. Mercier. Brother of Tyrone and Kenneth  (Linda) Griffin, Lloyd (Rita) Fuqua, Donald Striplan, Japanicia (Kenneth) Lewis, Crystal (Herbert) Black, Tanya (Donald) Johnson, Gequatta (Nelson) Burres, Shelly (Cliff) Ealey, and the late Arthur Fuqua. Nephew of Mary Ann Olison and Zuri Barton of Dayton, OH; also survived by 13 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above-named parlor.
