Alvin Theriot departed this life at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the age of 73. He was a native of Lagan, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. He was employed with AT&T (formerly South Central Bell) and retired in 2005 after 30 years of service. Beloved husband of Altamease Davis Theriot. Devoted father of Maurice LaMont (Maxine)Theriot of Royce City, TX, Mignon Lynette Theriot Francois, of Nashville, TN, Alaina Katrice Theriot, and Alisa Katrel Theriot. Son of the late Albert and Ethel Paul Theriot. Alvin spent his childhood years in Houma, LA under the care of the late Morris and Virginia Watson. Brother of Ethel Porche’, Yvonne Woodridge of Palmer Park, MA, Vernita King, Genoid (Ernestine)Theriot of Long Beach, NJ, Brenda Celestine of Baton Rouge, LA, Michael Theriot, and the late Albert Theriot, Jr. and Ledonia Theriot. Bonus brother of June Marie Wallis (Lloyd), Morris Watson, Jr., Vincent Watson, and Michelle Leisa Forman (Charles) all of Houma, LA. Son-in-law of Helen Davis of Kansas City, MO. Brother-in-law of Ivy (Seymour) Raymond of Killeen, TX, Stephanie (Ronnie) Garrett of Fort Riley, KS, Theresa Davis of Kansas City, MO, Harold Davis of Detroit, MI, Glenn Davis, Sr., Norman (Marcia) Davis, Marvin Davis, and Jerome (Kim) Davis all of Kansas City, MO, and the late Joachim Woodridge. Alvin is also survived by his former wife Linda Theriot, 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2400 Delachaise St. New Orleans, LA on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Minister Harold Goodloe, officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church.
