Alex Darell Smith departed this life on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the age of 37. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Alex was graduate of New Orleans Job Corps. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Loving husband of Keyona Elnora Henry Smith. Devoted father of Tajayaha Smith, Alexia Smith, and Ashanti Smith. Beloved son of Mary Howard. Brother of Treg Smith, Adam Howard, Tomika Howard, and Davin Smith; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time.
