Albert J. Roman, Sr. departed this life on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at the age of 60. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Wine, as he was affectionately known by family and friend was employed as a galleyhand. Devoted father of Albert J. Roman, Jr. Son of the late Albert and Doretha Roman. Brother of Linda Lewis, Doretha Augustus, Allen (Letoya) Scott, Debra Roman, Anthony (Shelia) Roman, and the late Earline Wilson, Rosalind Roman, Ernest Watkins, Alvin Roman, and Arthur Roman. Nephew of Richard Hawkins, Jr. Devoted companion of Donna Butler, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Holy Anointed House of Prayer, Bethel Lutheran Church, priest and parishioners of St. Augustine, Our Lady of Guadalupe, St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, and all neighboring churches; employees of Last Generation, LLC D/B/A Bayou Chefs, A Lotta Thing’s Store (Laplace), 92 Gulf (Cook) 141 Fox CO 199th, 256th Brigade, Jackson Barracks, and NORD are invited to attend the Homegoing Service at Holy Anointed House of Prayer 1447 Senate St. New Orleans, LA on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at 10:00am. Pastor Lionel Roberts, Sr. officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery-New Orleans, LA.
