Sherman Ray Walker departed this life on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at West Jefferson Medical Center at 9:33p.m. He was an off shore worker for Viscardi Industrial Services, LLC. Beloved husband of Mollie Wilder Walker. Loving father of Sherman Ray, Jermaine Rene and Tory Terrell. Son of Roy Walker, Sr. and Alice Smith Walker. Brother of Roy, Jr., Larry, Elton, Norris, Brian, Wade, Eric, Jeffery, Bernadette, Roxann and Jennifer. Grandson of the late Royal and Alice Smith, Ralph Joseph, Sr. and Myrtle Walker. Son-in-law of Jeanetta Randolph and the late Bobbie Wilder; also survived by 6 grandchildren, 4 sisters-in-law, 3 brothers-in-law, and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 59 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church, Touch of Love Ministries, Vineyard Ministries, Shalom School of Ministry and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, 6533 Acre Road Marrero, La. on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Gilbert Barnes, host pastor, Elder Brian Walker, Sr., officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery- Avondale, La.
