Minnie L. Evans Pritchett, a retired employee of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, departed this life on Friday, December 17, 2010 at West Jefferson Medical Center of Congestive Heart Failure. She was a graduate of Tensas Rosenwald High School class of 1964. Devoted wife of Theophilus Pritchett for 41 years. Mother of Angela (Mark) Landry of Houma, La., and Montrelle Pritchett. Grandmother of Elicia, Christopher, Alys and Tia. Great grandmother of Anala Reed. Daughter of the late Albert Evans and Minnie O. Williams. Daughter in law of Ernestine Pritchett and the late Rev. Alex J. Pritchett. Devoted niece of Susie Williams and the late Eugene Williams, Sr. Sister of Charles (MaryAnn) Williams of Houston, Tx., Dorothy (Ron) Bryant of Mission Vijo, Ca., Rebecca Williams of Las Vegas, Nv., Thelma Evans of Avondale, La. and at the late Johnnie (Lucille) Williams of Dallas, Tx. Sister in law of Thais (Lionel) Walker, Fayette (Esaw) Frazier, Schwann (Sterling) Mealancon, Orlando Pritchett, Percival (Renita) Pritchett, Joanette (Tyrone) Jones and Linda Pritchett. Age: 65 years a native of St. Joseph, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. for 39 years. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Progressive Church, Evening Star Baptist Church, Life Center and neighboring churches. Employees of Sams Club # 8821, US Postal Service MVS and H. L. Bourgeois High School of Houma, La. are invited to attend the celebration of life at Progressive Church 437 Cohen St. Marrero, La. on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Sterling Mealancon officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
