Melton (Milton) Graves departed this life on Monday December 20, 2010 at West Houston Medical Center, Houston, Texas. He was the owner of Graves General Hauling and Landscaping for over 40 years. Husband of Gerti Ulmer Patterson by first marriage and Rose Simmons Graves by second marriage. Devoted father of David Brown, Milton Simmons, Damien Hart, Travis Simmons, Terrell Graves ,Valerie ( Anthony ) Bonner, Savina ( Reginald ) Jasper, Ileen ( Melvin ) Jourdan, Nicole Simmons, Chante Simmons and Tanisha Graves. Stepfather of Monica Leonard and Brian Simmons. Son of the late Luther and Martiner Graves. Brother of Helen Bickham, Verlean ( Walter ) Howard, Ella Ruth ( Alex ) Simmons, Bobbie Nell Graves, Lois ( Tommie ) Williams, Marvin , Narvin , David and Dewitt Graves and the late Harvell , Melvin, Richard and Frederick Graves and Earline Calender. Also survived by 30 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 Brother in Law Melvin Calender and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
