Everett Leon Goodwin entered into eternal rest at Kessler Air Force Base Medical Center in Biloxi, MS on Friday, November 9, 2012, at the age of 55 years. He was a native of Eastover, SC and a resident of Harvey, LA since 1989. He served his country in the United States Navy in several different capacities and retired as a Supply Technician after 16 ½ years of service. Everett was a deacon at Progressive Church and also worked as a barber and security officer. Beloved husband of Starletia Star Goodwin. Loving father of Erron Goodwin of Terrytown, LA, Everette Jones of Pensacola, FL and Andrea (Tremaine) Harris of Dallas, TX. Son of the late Lillian Goodwin and James Anderson. Brother of Willie (Stella) Goodwin of Hopkins, SC, Wilford (Delores) and Henry Goodwin, Dicie (Willie) Thomas, and Martha Goodwin all of Eastover, SC, and the late Francis and Charles Goodwin and Christine Gunter. Brother-in-law of Jennifer Steib of Harvey, LA, Michele Fields of Gretna, LA, Sharon (Eddie) London and Sarah Goodwin of Eastover, SC, Pastor Robert (Sherdren) Burnside, Sr. of New Orleans, LA and Samuel (Sharla) Murray of Marrero, LA. Godfather Brandon and Steven Kiper, Alexis Burnside, Zachary Bott and Richard Kelly, Jr.; also survived by three grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
