Mrs. Hunter was the founder and manager of the Rising Star Gospel Singers. Wife of the late John Hunter. Mother of Sharon (Kelvin) Williams, Sabrina (John) Spears, Demetria Hunter, Rita Hunter Nurre, and Samantha (Vincent) Mulmore. Grandmother of Kelvin Hunter, Alonzo Williams, Dijon Williams, Shianka (Corey) Williams-Holmes, Kelvanje Williams, Anthony Donovan, Malik, Imani, Tariq and Mulmore, Deshonna and Tristian Spears. Daughter of the late Lubertha Neal. Granddaughter of the late Hannah McQuarter. Sister of Patsy Williams, Alma Johnson, Gloriastine Geaumont, Florastine Hampton, Ulysses Neal, Otis Neal, Warren Douglas and the late Cornelia Blakes, Diane Neal, Howard and Sherman Douglas, also survived by 10 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 74 years a native of Woodville, Ms. and resident of New Orleans, La. for 52 years.
