Herbert Girod, Sr. departed this life on Thursday, June 30 2011 at West Jefferson Medical Center. Son of the late Wilton Girod, Sr., and Ernestine Hamilton Girod. Loving father of Marilyn and Herbert Grant and Anthony Girod. Brother of Donald (Gloria) and Robert (Erine) Girod both of Indianapolis, In. and John (Linda) and Richard ( Melba) Girod of Louisiana and the late Wilton, Martin and Lionel Girod. Special friend of Shirley Smith; also survived by 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 71 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Harvey, La. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, La. on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Timothy Boyd, Associate Minister of Plymouth Rock Baptist Church-officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
