Alex Anthony Russ a graduate of Xavier Prep High School passed away on Wednesday March 3, 2010 at West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero, La. Former husband of the late Willimenia Russ. Father of Ava R. (Michael) Scott, Aretha Russ, Bregena R. (Ralph) Carter, Debbie R. (Loves) Kirk, Willimenia R. (Barne) Osbourne, Venita R. (Dominique, Sr.) Landry, Teresa Schrinefeist, Marion Lovek, Jason A. Russ, and Mark Schrinefeist and the late Alex A. Russ, Jr. and Allen Russ. Son of the late Henry and Vernida Russ. Brother of Bertha R. (Sis) Molison, Bertrain M. Russ, Benjamin H. (Carolyn) Russ, Phillip M. (Joyce) Russ Lawrence P.J. (Joann) Russ, and the late Henry John Russ, Jr. and Henry L. Rouselle Devoted friend of Ethel Bridgewater. Great great uncle of Carlos and Dontie Hall, also survived by 23 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 78 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Harvey, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Evening Star Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, La. on Saturday March 13, 2010 at 10:00a.m. Rev.
