Willie Earl Bishop

Willie Earl Bishop, a self-employed general contractor, entered into eternal rest at Tulane University Hospital on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 3:30p.m. He was co-founder of the Young Neighborhood Gospel Singers and an original member of the Spiritual Wonders Gospel Singers. Beloved husband of Francis S. Bishop. Loving father of Shannon A. Bishop. Son of the late B. Bishop and Annie L. Walker. Brother of Mack C. Fair, Edward, Walter, Jonnell, Lonnell and Donnell Walker, Katie M. Brown, Juanita Walker, Betty J. Johnson, Annie M. Riley and Bobbie J. Springfield. Son-in-law of Mary Clark; also survived by a host of relatives and friends. Age: 69 years a native of Sunflower, Ms. and a resident of Algiers, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Olive Branch Baptist Church, all neighboring churches and Gospel Singers are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Olive Branch Baptist Church, 1134 Odeon Ave., New Orleans, La. on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Reginald Nicholas, Sr.-officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
