Lemar Martin, Sr. departed this life on Wednesday, January 12, 2011. Beloved fianc of Ashantila Johnson. Loving father of Lemar, Jr., Cyrus, and Annastasia Martin. Stepfather of DeJonique and Grandon Johnson. Son of Percy Grady, Herbert and Maxine Goirl. Grandson of the late Ophelia and George Guyton, Ceatrice and Tommy Grady. Brother of Zeneria (Ervin) Champagne, Verlisa Martin, Adrian (Xavier) Morris, Letrice (Charles) Whitney, Tyrus and Keziah Martin, Eldridge Laurent,Garland Martin, Damion (Stacy) Martin, Derrell (Kristy) Martin, and Troy Martin and the late Niesha Martin and Lakesha Martin Delaney. Nephew of Geraldine (Joe) Smoot, Anne Jean Grady and the late Van Leonard, Loise and Frank Grady, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 35 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Terrytown, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Providence Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches. Employees of Boomtown Casino (Security) are invited to attend the homegoing service at Providence Missionary Baptist Church 2311 Seventh St. New Orleans, La. on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
