Okley Gus Fazande departed this life on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at 11:00a.m. Beloved husband of Shirley A. Fazande. Father of Ronald G. (Debra), Arnold G. (Agnes), Okley G. (Azelea) and Criswell Fazande, Shewanda Webber, Okley (Lionel) Poole, and the late Byron Keith Fazande, Sr. Son of the late Gustave and Isabella Brooks Fazande. Brother of Joyce F. Davis and the late Otis and Leon Fazande, Alice Dale, Mildred Brown, Hilda Simmons, Lorenza Martin, and Shirley Robinson, also survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 83 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of New Zion B.C., Franklin Ave B.C., Evening Star B.C., and neighboring churches. Employees of Flemming Construction Co., K & B Plumbing, AT&T Services, and Oak Villa Apartments are invited to attend the funeral service at New Zion Baptist Church 1131 Garden Rd. Marrero, La. on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Austin Dennis officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
