Annie Mae Jacks

Minister Annie Mae Stewart Jacks entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 22, 2011. She was a graduate from West Jefferson High School and retired from University Hospital after working there for over 35 years. She touched the lives of countless people with her smile generous heart, compassionate nature and her devotion to her Lord and Savior Jesus Church. Former wife of Roy L. Jacks, Sr. Mother of Roy, Jr. (Aletha), Joseph (Glendora), Ronald, Calvin, Ervin, and Cindy Jacks, Shelia (Eric, Sr.) Henry, Gail Jacks (Ernest Burras), and she raised her grandsons Eric, Jr., Jonathan, and Joshua Henry and her nephew Nathaniel Washington. Daughter of the late Fad (Buddy) and Lillian (Momma Lettie) Stewart. Sister of the late Lloyd, Charles, and Edward Stewart, Ruby, Ruth, Thelma, Elsie, and Barbara, also survived by 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 69 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of New Home Family Worship Center of Algiers and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at New Home Family Worship Center of Algiers 411 Opelousas Ave. New Orleans, La. on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
