Ruby McGee Hansberry

Ruby McGee Hansberry a retired nurse and teacher, died on Monday, August 22, 2011 at West Jefferson Medical Center. She attended Lincoln High School and Charity Hospital School of Nursing. She was a former employee of Charity Hospital and Marrero Christian Academy. Wife of the late Oscar Hansberry. Mother of RosaLee Williams, Lester Moore, Patricia Williams, and Timothy Moore. Daughter of the late Ella Pennwright and Alex Williams, Sr. Sister of the late Justina Houston, and Ethel Archer, also survived by 9 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. Age: 73 years a native of Wallace, La. and Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of New Zion Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at New Zion Baptist Church 1131 Garden Rd. Marrero, La. on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 7:00p.m. Visitation will begin at 5:00p.m. Rev.
