Harry Gibson Jr. passed away on September 19, 2011 at the age of 75. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Patricia Gibson. Harry will be deeply missed by his seven surviving children Charles Gibson (Alva), Diane Gibson Murray, Tyrone Armore, Vera Gibson, Karyl Walker, Rebecca Gibson, Stacey Hatchett and the late Carmetta Gibson and Harry Gibson, III., as well as two stepchildren Robert Thomas Jr. and Chinita Chairs. Son of the late Harry and Margurite Gibson. Brother of Lionel Gibson of Bronzewick, GA, Geraldine Smith, Patricia Dillon, Yvonne King, Mona Long of New Orleans, LA. and the late Lloyd Gibson and Clarence Gibson. Brother-in-law of Roy Dillon, Ann Gibson, and the late Clifford Smith and Elizabeth Gibson. Harry has 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He will also be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. However, Harry worked in the transportation industry for the majority of his life. He was also a meticulous exterior and interior painter. He was a member of Prince Hall Mason over 30 years. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, offices, and members of Zion Hill Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Zion Hill Baptist Church 1126 N. Robertson St. New Orleans, La. on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Sidney Joshua officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church Interment: Holt Cemetery-New Orleans, La.
