Victoria Jeffcoat Jenkins, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 27, 2011 at West Jefferson Medical Center. Beloved wife of Gilbert Jenkins. Loving mother of Yvonne Johnson (Maurice) Bowman of Dallas Tx., Myria J. (Terry) Scott of Brandon, Ms., Gary Harris (Dominique) Jenkins, Sr., and the late Kathy Marine. Daughter of the late Wilford and Elizabeth Jeffcoat. Sister of Rolin (Cayce) Jeffcoat, James Jeffcoat, Eva Payton, Annie Bell Dixon, Neoni Jeffcoat, and the late Robert Jeffcoat, Sr., John Westley Jeffcoat, Lu Bell Saylor, and Rev. Jeremiah Jeffcoat. Grandmother of the late Victoria Willis. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 77 years, a native of Swansea, S.C., a resident of Dallas, Tx., and a former resident of Gretna, La. for 40 years. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Thompson Temple Church of God in Christ and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Thompson Temple Church of God in Christ, 1515 Whitney Ave., Gretna, La. on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Bishop Ronnie Stewart-officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
