Douglas (Shine) James Austin, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 3, 2011 at West Jefferson Medical Center. Beloved husband of Patricia Street Austin. Loving father of Kimiko Sears, Beatrice Austin Cummings, Douglas Austin, Jr., and Arkeydia Coleman. Grandfather of Ariyah Sears, Kaiyah Sears and Jerret Cummings. Son of the late Audrey Coleman and Willie JB Alexander. Brother of Brenda Coleman, Jacqueline Coleman, Helen Struggs, Corey Alexander, Eric Henry, Donald Coleman, Felton Coleman and the late Debra Paul and Linda Landry. Nephew of Oliver June and William Austin. Son-in-law of the late Robert and Estelle Street; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 61 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Zion Baptist Church, 6520 Second Zion Blvd., Marrero, La. on Monday, January 10, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Pastor James Nelson Brown-officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m until service time at the above named church.
