Roosevelt Ricks a retired plumber and construction worker entered into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Northshore on Thursday, May 26, 2011. Former husband of Iona Mason Ricks. Father of Sylvia Ricks (Edric) Daniel, Lisa Ricks, and Lisa Williams. Son of the late Elizabeth Bell Ricks and Sam Lee. Brother of Walter Ricks, and the late Viola Lee Ricks Magee, Mae Ella Ricks Spears, Arthur Ricks, Joseph Ricks, Alonzo Ricks, and Ellis Charles Ricks. Brother in law of Bobby Jean Spears-Ricks, also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 80 years a native of Independence, La. and a resident of Slidell, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of New Home Family Worship Center of Algiers, My Redeemer Baptist Church, 1St Shiloh Baptist Church and neighboring churches. Employees of Crossroads Louisiana Inc. and Job Link Inc. are invited to attend the funeral service at New Home Family Worship Center of Algiers 411 Opelousas Ave. New Orleans, La. on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Rev.
