Alma Williams Barnes was called home on Saturday, February 18, 2012, by her Savior at 10:25a.m. Wife of the late John Wesley Barnes, Sr. Mother of John W. Barnes, Jr., Evelina B (Elliot) Leblanc, Hattie B. (Willie) Mason, Oliver Barnes, Elmore (Marlene) Barnes, Amanda B. (Gregory) Hill, Andrew Barnes Ethel Mae Barnes, Percy Lee (Anita) Barnes, and Juanita B. (Clifford) Drayton. Stepmother of Mable Lou Conley. Daughter of the late Alexander and Evelina Williams. Companion of the late John Wesley Williams, Sr. and from that union a son Derrick A. (Charlotte) Williams, also survived by 2 sisters, 5 brothers, 2 sisters in law, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 85 a native of Fairfield, La. and a resident of Westwego, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Third Emmanuel Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Third Emmanuel Baptist Church 187 Third Emmanuel St. Bridge City, La. on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Joseph C. Dyson, Sr. officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, La.
