Althea Lyndia Johnson Willis entered into eternal rest at her residence on Friday, September 28, 2012. Wife of the late Isadore E. Willis, Sr. Mother of Neldana (Wayne) Ricard, Gareth (Rhonda) Napoleon, Jamal Robinson, Arnel (Roland) Jones, Grindel (Ralph) Jackson, Monique Thompson, Isadore Willis, Jr. and the late Charles (Vanessa) Napoleon. Stepmother of Keith Willis, Danita Strauss and Lolita Gordon. Daughter of the late Hilris and Naomi Johnson. Sister of Joycelyn Fisher, Patricia Collins, Jennifer Noah and the late Hilris Johnson, Jr. Sister-in-law of Shirley Mae Roche. Godmother of Natasha Jackson; also survived by 23 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Leslie Savage, Shirley Collins, Jackie Tate, Sarah Allen and Laverne Gaines. Age: 73 years a native and resident of Gretna, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Hope Baptist Church and all neighboring churches, are invited to attend the Funeral Service at New Hope Baptist Church, 434 7th Street Gretna, La. on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
