Kalumba Cheneau departed this life on Sunday, December 11, 2011. Loving father of Kamya White. Beloved son of Eula Cheneau and the late Percy Cheneau, Jr. Devoted brother of Tyheimba Cheneau, Ferdinand Hughes, Antoine Criss, Dexter (Letisha) Coston, Durshell Coston, Ijel C. (Michael) Jones, Monya C. (Joseph) Baker all of New Orleans, La., Tina (Laurence) Hope of Milwaukee, Wi., and the late Trimuba Cheneau. Grandson of Bessie Hughes and the late Alex Hughes, Sr., Novella Foley Richard, Percy Cheneau, Sr., John Chriss, Hattie Williams, and Elvira Foley; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 22 years a native and resident of New Orleans, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Pentecost Baptist Church, St. John #5 Baptist Church, Faith Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Snug Harbor, Alvera Property, Boh Brothers Construction, LSU-Depaul Behavioral Health and friends of Omaha, Ne., and Milwaukee, Wi., are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Pentecost Baptist Church, 1510 Harrison Ave., New Orleans, La. on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Lionel Davis, Sr.-officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Entombment: Resthaven Park Mausoleum- New Orleans, La. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, La.
