Alvin Hobbs, a retired welder for Kostmayer Construction, Inc., entered into rest on Friday, October 15, 2010 at West Jefferson Medical Center. Devoted husband of Troylynn Hobbs. Father of Trachell (Greg) Alexander, Evette, and Alvin Rontell, Tymika, Shnika, and Sherika Hobbs, Michael Cooper, and Kim (Anthony) Johnson. Son of the late James Hobbs, Sr. and Betty Mae Woods Streams. Stepson of the late Clifford Joseph Woods. Brother of Fayetta Woods Hill, Lana Mae Woods, Darlene, Denise, Lilly, and Dennis Hobbs, and the late L.O. and James Hobbs, Jr., Shelby Jackson, Betty Jean Hobbs, Betty Ann Woods, and Linda Marie Woods. Son in law of Lionel Robinson and the late Mazie Lemieux. Brother in law of Katie Barkins, Linda G. Morman, Paula (Russell) Robinson, Janell (the late Leon) Tribble, Annie Hobbs, Lanette (Richard) Robinson, Leonel, Don, and Lanny Robinson. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives. Age 61 years, a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, officers and members of St. Joseph Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at St. Joseph Baptist Church, 241 Robinson Ave., Marrero, La., on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Rev.
