Debra Jean Baptiste departed this life on Sunday, November 6, 2011 in Lafayette, La. Devoted mother of Miranda Landix Coleman and Derandus Landix. Loving grandmother of Roniece Amanda Wright, Damian Shoffner, Derandus Wyndman, Byron Duckett, Jr. and the late Deandre Guillory. Great grandmother of Damian Shoffner, Jr. and Deandre Shoffner. Mother-in-law of Louis Coleman, Jr. and Teniel Landix. Daughter of Lorraine Baptist and the late Willis Ray Baptiste, Sr. Sister of Diane (Joe) Fennidy, Adrienne Jones, Arcenia Baptiste, Renee (Carl) Castille, Willis Ray (Ann) Baptiste, Reginald and Cornell Baptiste and the late Valerie and Calvin Baptiste; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Debra was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Lafayette, La., Pastored by Rev. Ricky Carter Age: 57 years a native of New Orleans, La., a former resident of Gretna, La. and a resident of Lafayette, La. since 2005 Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Regular Baptist Church, Good Hope Baptist Church of Lafayette, La. and all neighboring churches; employees of Peoples Health Network are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Regular Baptist Church, 901 5th St., Gretna, La. on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Toy Hodges-officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
