Martha Evans Davis entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 5, 2010. Beloved wife of Albert Earl Davis. Loving mother of Charles, Lee Allen, and James Burns, Sr., Melvin Smith, Mary Ross, and Rochelle Franklin. Daughter of the late Walter and Classie Evans. Sister of Ora Hunt, Annie Dixie, Robert and Willie Evans, also survived by 22 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 75 years a native of Vicksburg, Ms. and a resident of Oakville, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Greater St. Peter Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Greater St. Peter Baptist Church 182 West St. Peter St. Oakville, La. on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 10:00a.m. Dr. Darnell Smith, Sr. officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
