Evelyn Valleen Encalade Bailey died at her residence on Friday, July 27, 2012, at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Henry L. Bailey, Jr. Loving mother of Henry L. (Rose) Bailey, III, Delores Heglar, Paul Bailey, Ruben (Shelia) Bailey, Adren Bailey, Kevin D. (Linda) Bailey and Gregory (Wanda) Bailey. Daughter of the late Espy and Palmyra Fredick Encalade. Devoted grandmother of Valleen Heglar, Kendall (Yasmin) Bailey,Tawanda Bailey (Ondrell) Moore, Ryan (Jahanna) Bailey, Jennifer Bailey (Michael) Woods, Gregory Bailey, Jr., Genee Bailey, Victoria Bailey, Kevin C. Bailey, Rashanda Bailey, Adren Bailey, Jr. and Desmond (Jaland) Walker. Great grandmother of Kelsey, Kayla, Ryleigh, Devin and Raegan. Loving sister of Espy Encalade, Carmen DeMolle, Noella Barthelemy, John Encalade and the late Antoinette Isidore and Frederick Encalade. Daughter-in-law of the late Henry Bailey, Sr. and Gladys Petetant Bailey. Sister-in-law of Vergie and Lena Encalade and the late Helen Bailey Johnson; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A native of Point a la Hache, La. and a longtime resident of Barataria, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners, of St. Anthony Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 2653 Jean Lafitte Blvd. Lafitte, La. on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 11:00a.m. Father John Ryan, celebrant Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
