Cynthia Tillman Landry Burkhalter entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at West Jefferson Medical Center. Beloved wife of Pastor Vincent Burkhalter. Daughter of Ellen Sanders and the late Sammie Tillman and Gordon Sanders, Sr. Loving mother of Tyrone Landry, Tychelle Landry, Tyrell Landry, and Tyrin Landry. Sister of Sandra (Edmond) Burkhalter, Yvette (Derrick) Pollard, Gordon (Shawn) Sanders, Jr., and Mechelle (Steven) Greeley. Granddaughter of Lucille Tillman. Godmother of Imyinie Addison. Sister- in- law of Lelia (Aaron) Simmons, Erma (Rufus) Adams, Janice Parker and Linda (Jimmy) Marshall. Special friend of Tessie Hart and Christianne Nicholas. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, 4 sisters-in-law, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Age: 49 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Lacombe, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Jerusalem Gospel Church, St. Mark Baptist Church, Evening Star Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at St. Mark Baptist Church, 1929 Huey P. Long Ave. Gretna, La. on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Joseph Hampton-officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
