Anna Smith Batiste

Anna Mary Smith Batiste, a Certified Nurse Assistant departed this life at West Jefferson Medical Center on Saturday, April 28, 2012. Wife of the late Alphonse Batiste. Mother of Alphonse Batiste, Jr., Gregory Batiste, Sr., Mary Richardson, and the late Mario Batiste, Warren Batiste, and Deborah Campbell. Daughter of the late Gus and Opheya Smith, also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren other relatives and friends. She was a member of Avondale Senior Golden Steppers and Original Supreme Grand Council of Lady of Knights Templars. Age: 79 years a native of Napoleonville, La. and a resident of Westwego, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Faith Presbyterian Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Faith Presbyterian Church 2525 Apollo St. Harvey, La. on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until 9:45a.m. at the above named church.
