Kenneth Pee Wee Batiste, a longtime employee of Avondale Shipyard, departed this life on Friday, November 12, 2010 at Marrero Health Care Center at 5:56a.m. Beloved husband of Kena Batiste. Loving father of Kechelle Batiste and Girod Canselo. Stepfather of Reginald and Rakena S. Holmes. Son of the late Ferman Batiste and Dorothy Costly Batiste. Brother of Barbara J. Williams, Cassandra W. Phillips, Gayle W. Bartholomew, Harold Hooper, Jr., Debra Hooper, Errol (Judy) Hooper, Brian Hooper, Thira H. (Clarence) Jones and the late Michael Gaines. Stepbrother of Angello Gaines. Son-in-law of Roselean Callahan. Also survived by 3 grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Age: 44 years a native of Marrero, La. and a resident of Avondale, La. Relatives and friends of the family also, pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church and priest and parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Avondale Shipyard are invited to attend the funeral service at Second Zion Baptist Church, 6520 Second Zion Ave., Marrero, La. on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 10:00a.m. Elder J.
