Mildred Johnson Brown affectionately known as Mommee and Mil entered into Heavens Pearly Gates on Thursday, May, 24, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Earl Brown, Sr. Mother of Earl Brown, Jr., Amanda Sue B. Jackson, Rhonda B. Gavion, Frank Brown, Sr., and the late Elois Lula B. Williams. Daughter of the late Henry and Lee Gene Darby Johnson. Sister of Samuel (Catherine) Johnson, Sr., Norma Myers of Alamogordo, Nm., Rev. Glenn (Pamela) Johnson, Sr., of DeSoto, Tx., Min Eric Johnson, and the late Sheryl Mitchell James. Mother in law of Shan Williams, Sr., Michael Jackson, Sr., Michael Gavion, Sr., and Lisa Brown, also survived by 18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 76 years a native of Longville, La. and a resident of Gretna, La. for many years. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Home Going Celebration at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist 922 Estalote Ave. Harvey, La. on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 11:00a.m. Rev. Dr. John A. Brooks, Sr. officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: New Hope Cemetery-Gretna, La.
