Ruth Alvis Theodore Johnson departed this life to live in her heavenly home on Tuesday, March 13, 2012. Wife of the late Isaac Johnson. Mother of Myra, Isaac Nolan, and Barry (Trava). Grandmother of Sabrina (Preston) Honor, Melissa (Travis) Tate, Tiffany (Lunda) Wells, Briana and Tyler Johnson. Daughter of the late Richard and Mable Tassin Theodore. Sister of Richard (Shirley) Theodore, Jr., and Lois Casey of Los Angeles, Ca., also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 86 year a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of St. Mary M.B.C ., Cornerstone Christian Center, Fifth African B.C. of N.O., La., and neighboring churches. Employees of Huntington-Ingalls, Inc., Speedco, Inc., and Heart of Hospice are invited to attend the funeral service at St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church 6223 Sixth Ave. Marrero, La. on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Edward Joseph, III officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, La.
