Georgia Mae (Mookie) Walker " Foster departed this life to be with Our Heavenly Father on Saturday November 13, 2010 Mother of Sharlene ( James ), Kimberlyn and James I ( LaTasha ). Adopted mother of Shawn. Stepmother of 5 boys and 3 girls. Daughter of the late George, Sr. and Estelle Walker. Sister of Pearless Ellison, Linda Anderson ( Curtis ), Brinda , George Walker Jr. ( Mona ) and the late Albert Walker (Ada ). Devoted friend of Brian Little and former wife of Leon Foster. Also survived by 2 aunts, 21 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends. A retired social worker, she devoted her life to working with children at Total Community Action Inc. (Peace Head Start) for over 30 years. Age: 67 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Avondale, La. Relatives and friends of the family and employees of TCA Inc., are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, La. on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 10:00a.m. (NO WAKE) Visitation from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
