Emma Nolden Thomas

Emma Nolden Thomas passed away peacefully on Friday, November 2, 2012. Beloved wife of Ben Thomas. Loving mother of Sandra (Charlie) Johnson, Christopher Thomas, and Dwayne Thomas. Grandmother of of Erica Wing-Laners, DeHaron Fairman and Asia Davis. Great grandmother of Dorian Laners. Daughter of the late Anthony and Lula Nolden. Sister of Robert Nolden and the late Dorothy Stokes, and Julia Scott, also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 72 years a native of Waterproof, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Heavenly Star Baptist Church and neighboring churches. Employees of Wal-Mart, Local Union 854, West Jefferson Medical Center, Jefferson Parish Sewerage Dept. and Kids First Westbank are invited to attend the funeral service at Heavenly Star Baptist Church 1020 Cohen St. Marrero, La. on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Mack Stokes host pastor / Rev. Woodrow Hayden officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, La.
