James (Big Draws) Jordan, Jr. departed this life on Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Beloved husband of Vera Inez Wilson Jordan. Devoted father of Iris, Shanequa, Marilyn, Melissa, Kierra, Trudell, James, III, Terrance, Michael, Jonathan, James IV, Matthew, and Anthony. Son of the late James Jordan, Sr. and Irma Lee Jordan. Grandson of the late Pearl Robinson. Loving brother of Arthur Jordan, Ferdinand, Brian, Kevin, and Albert Mathieu, Joanella Jordan, Daralyn Ramsey, Darlene and Wanda Mathieu and the late Karen Mathieu and Vanessa M. Avery, also survived by 22 grandchildren, 1 great grand, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 56 years a native and a resident of New Orleans, La. and a resident of College Park, Ga. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of St. Bernard Baptist Mission Church and all neighboring churches. Employees of Louisiana Downs (Race Track) and Housing Authority of New Orleans and members of Big 7 Social & Pleasure Club are invited to attend the funeral service at St. Bernard Baptist Mission Church 1373 Senate St. New Orleans, La. on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Lionel Roberts officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m.until service time at the above named church. Interment: Lafayette # 2 Cemetery-New Orleans, La.
