Bernard Junie Boy Benny Harris, Sr., a retired Merchant Marine, departed this life on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Crescent City Specialty Hospital at 9:23p.m. Loving father of Bernard Benny Harris , Jr., Regan and Crystal Harris, Juanita Thompson, Andrea Burton, Connie Hamilton and Bernita Payton-Frison. Grandfather of the late Amir Blanks. Son of the late Ben Harris and Louis Smith-Harris. Brother of Donald Harris, Tony and Raymond McNeil, Shelia Mason, Lois Webber, Vanessa Harris, and the late Charlie Harris, Sr., and Terri Harris. Also survived by 19 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 68 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Harvey, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Hosanna Fellowship Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Hosanna Fellowship Church, 400 Weidman St. Gretna, La. on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Alex Bellows, Host Pastor-Pastor Donald Williams, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
