Andrew Joseph Dixon, III departed this life on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank. Loving son of Barbara Nell Coler Dixon and the late Andrew J. Dixon, II Devoted husband of Evatte Dixon. Father of Tiffany Dixon. Stepfather of Emette, Christopher and Dequandra Taylor, Ozaki and Jerome (Traz) Trice and the late Joseph Taylor. Brother of Charles (Venda) Dixon, Diane (Keith) Dabney and the late Alberta Dixon. Grandson of the late Andrew, I and Ophia Dixon, Rev. Freddie and Besie Coler. Son-in-law of Rosie and Donald Wilson. Brother-in-law of Belinda, Darlene, India, Harold, Robert, Jr., Bernard, Jonnie, Darryl, Lloyd and Joseph. Nephew of Dorothy Coler, Barbara Ann (Victor) Keller, Bessie Mae (Eura) Skidmore, Marie Smith, Hazel Dixon and the late Freddie, Jr. and Edward Coler, Junior, John and Jimmy Dixon and Letha Swift. Godson of the late James and Idea White. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 46 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Second Zion Baptist Church, Macedonia Baptist Church, New Hope Ministry and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Second Zion Baptist Church, 6520 Second Zion Ave. Marrero, La. on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Bishop James Nelson Brown- officiating Visitation will being at 8:30a.m. until service time. Interment: McDonoghville Cemetery-Gretna, La. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, La.
