Harold Bradley, Sr. departed this life on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at his residence. He joined the Navy in 1944 at the age of 18 for combat in WW11. He was stationed at NTS. Bainbridge, Md and served aboard the USS S. Dakota (BB57). During his service he received several honors: Asiatic Pacific Ribbon (5 stars), Philippine Liberation Ribbon (2 stars) and the Victory Ribbon. He was honorably discharged on May 21, 1946. Brown, Rashad R. Bradley, Chloe Horde, Gilbert E. Omobude, John M. Omobude, Kobe Haggis and the late Akbar Smith. Son of the late Milton and Melvina Bradley. Brother of Louis Bradley and the late Joseph and Clarence Bradley. Father in law of Decker B. Randolph, Sr., Lester J. Randolph, Frank I. Omobude, Henry Cole, Joseph A. Coleman, and Karen M. Durall-Bradley. Brother in law of Mildred Bradley, also survived by 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 84 years a native and a resident of Oakville, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Oakville Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Oakville Baptist Church 11280 Highway 23 Oakville, La. on Saturday, December 18, 2010 a 10:00a.m. Bishop Wilfret Johnson officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
