Dorothy Lindell Brown Walker entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Tulane Medical Center. Beloved wife of 37 years to Adolph Walker, Sr. Loving mother of Shawand (Roy, Sr.) Pate, Javonne (Latanya) Walker, Sr., Adolph (Earline) Walker, Jr., Debra Walker (Brian Landry), KaShawn Walker (Kenneth Simmons)and the late Reginald L. Walker. Grandmother of the late Shannon Walker. Daughter of the late Frederick Brown, Jr. and Evalee Evans Brown. Sister of Donald Brown, Pennye Lawrence, Tessie Scott, Douglas Brown, and the late Frederick J. Brown, III, Anthony C. Brown, Charlotte C. Bates and Beola A. Brown. Devoted daughter-in-law of Eliza Sperden; also survived by 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 brother-in-law, 4 sisters-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was 1970 graduate of Alcee Fortier Senior High School and she also attended S.U.N.O. Age: 57 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Avondale, La Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Mt. Salem Baptist Church, Greater New Birth Family Worship Cathedral and all neighboring churches. Employees of R.T.A., Continental Cargill Grain, McDonald Corp., J. W. Marriott, and C.M.P. Coating are invited to attend the funeral service at Mt. Salem Baptist Church, 2800 First St., New Orleans, La. on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 10:00a.m. Elder David Bates, Jr. -Pastor Rev. Randall Keith Jackson-officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, La.
