Gloria Benn Thompson entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at West Jefferson Medical Center. Devoted mother of Patricia (Timothy) Sneed, Harry (Carla) Thompson, III, Anthony (Sandy) Thompson, and Michelle (Patrick) Williams. Sister of the late Vivian Jordan, Bernice Walker, Selena Benn, Annie Lou Cosey, Eugene Benn, Edward Benn, Lionel McDonald, Sr. Godmother of April B. Landry, also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 82 years a native and resident of New Orleans, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Second Baptist Church, Asbury United Methodist Church, Franklin Avenue Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Second Baptist Church 2836 Sullen Place New Orleans, La. on Friday November 4, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Taza Green officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
