Phyllis Gaines Campbell stepped gallantly and triumphantly out of time and into the eternal heavens on Wednesday, March 24, 2011 at 2:56am. Wife of the late David Campbell. Mother of Nicole (Anthony) Parker of Houton, TX., and David (Danielle) Gaines of Marrero, LA. Grandmother of Joshua Parker and special mother of Nelson (Jacqullyn) Carter, Jr. Daughter of Harriet Gaines and the late Harry Gaines, Sr. Step-daughter of Henry Roussell, Jr. Sister of Denise (Royal Jr.) Bellock, Contrella Norman, Sylvia Gaines, Melinda Hill, Tammy (Merwin) LeBlanc of Brooklyn, N.Y., Ricky (Adaline) Patterson, Guy (Marie) Patterson, Sr., Henry Roussell, III, Roderick (Chiquita) Roussell, Sterling (Laverne), Harry (Eunice) Gaines, Jr., Stanley (Effie) Gaines and the late Larry Gaines. Sister in law of Cora Campbell, James Campbell, Jr., and Jerry Campbell. Niece of Ida (Robert) Williams. Preceded in death by her grandparents. Phyllis memories will be treasured by her immediate family and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and friends. Age: 50 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church, St. Mary Baptist Church, and Fresh Start Community Church of Houston, TX. and neighboring churches. Employees of Amerca Care Hospice, Oncology Dept. of LSU Interim Hospital, Winn Dixie, Wal Mart, Ritz Carlton of Central Park, N.Y., Culligan Water Co. of Houston, TX., Crescent City Marine Department, Heberts Trucking Local # 60, and Unifirst Uniform Co. are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration Service at Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church 831 Wayne Ave. Westwego, La. on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Robert L. Davison officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, La.
